You may file a complaint with TERO if your workplace concern involves:

If you were punished for:

Requesting help or accommodation
Participating in an investigation
Supporting another employee
Workplace Safety Issues
Unsafe practices
Equipment hazards
Supervisors ignoring known dangers

Withheld pay

TERO enforces Pawnee Nation policies that prohibit any form of retaliation against individuals who:

What Happens After You File a Complaint
TERO follows a formal process to protect your rights and ensure a fair review:

You may be contacted for more details, documents, or clarification.
Step 3 — Initial Assessment
TERO determines whether the issue falls under:
Harassment/Discrimination
Retaliation
TERO Act violations
Workplace safety issues
Contractor violations
Step 1 — Intake
TERO reviews your statement and confirms jurisdiction.
Step 7 — Resolution
Step 4 — Investigation
Step 5 — Protective Measures
Step 6 — Findings
You will receive communication once findings are complete.
If needed, TERO may recommend:
No-contact actions
Retaliation monitoring
Administrative adjustments
TERO may interview witnesses, supervisors, HR, or other involved parties.
TERO may:
Recommend corrective action
Issue compliance directives
Assist with EEOC referral (if needed)
Provide follow-up support
Confidentiality
All complaints submitted to TERO are kept strictly confidential.
Your identity will not be shared outside the investigative process unless required by law or necessary to protect your safety.
TERO will never share your information with your supervisor without cause or without notifying you.
Emergency or Immediate Safety Concerns
If you feel unsafe or witness an immediate threat:
Don't hesitate to contact the Pawnee Nation Tribal Police or Local Law Enforcement
After the situation is safe, TERO can assist with filing a formal complaint.
